I discovered Gelataria Artesanal Mo-Mo after an afternoon of wandering around downtown Porto's Clérigos district.  I was dying to cool off with something cold when voila, I spotted this cute little gelato shop off Jardim do Cordoaria.  I peeked inside and quickly realized this was no ordinary gelato spot.  The flavors here are made fresh daily from natural, organic ingredients and they experiment all the time with innovative flavor pairings using Porto's seasonal fruits and finest local offerings: Pear w. Vinho Verde, Saturn Peach w. Vinho Verde Rosé, TWO versions of Fig w. Port Wine (dairy, dairy-free), Better than Snickers, so many! They also have more traditional flavors for those that prefer the originals: Banana, Watermelon, Plum, etc.

I taste tested the different versions with vinho verde and port but ultimately chose the Pear w. Vinho Verde which was absolutely delicious.  I could actually taste the pears and the bubbles bursting with each bite. Yum!

They also had something called Ice-cream Spaghetti on the menu.  I'm not quite sure what it is but it reminded me of the Mont-Blanc dessert at Paris' famous Angelina Cafe

They have cute tables outside so you can sit and enjoy the view of the park and just relax.  I definitely plan on heading back for my next gelato craving and am so happy I came across it.
